The Progresso 8780 is a high-density, watercolour coloured pencil – it is basically the same as its direct competitor from Faber-Castell the watercolour pencil with the triangular barrel ART GRIP.

There are differences, however: the Progresso’s barrel has a different geometric shape (hexagonal) and its solid lead, which is only encased in paint and whose larger diameter allows you to make thicker applications.

In a direct comparison of the their drawing and colouring attributes, the Progresso is somewhat softer than the Art Grip. Both can be sharpened with any electric or manual pencil sharpener.
